SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

Sustainable Flexible Packaging Solutions

We develop lower-impact flexible packaging for brands that want to reduce material use, improve recyclability or add recycled content without compromising the protection their product needs.

Custom sustainable flexible packaging from 100 pcs, subject to material, size and performance requirements.

PACKAGING OPTIONS

Sustainable Packaging Options

Depending on your product and target market, we can reduce film weight, compare recyclable PE or PP structures, add PCR content, or consider compostable materials. Each option is checked against the barrier and sealing performance your product needs.

MATERIAL REDUCTION

Reduce Packaging Material Without Sacrificing Performance

Use the right pouch size, practical film thickness and only the components your product actually needs. The goal is less material without weakening seals, barrier or handling performance.

Right-Size the Pouch

Match the pouch dimensions to the real fill volume so you are not paying for unnecessary headspace or oversized film.

Right-size the pouch Reduce film gauge where practical Remove non-essential components
Optimize Film Thickness

Select the lightest film structure that still meets your seal, puncture, stiffness and barrier requirements.

Simplify the Pack

Remove or simplify windows, labels, extra layers and accessories when they do not add enough value for the product or customer.

RECYCLABLE

Recyclable Mono-Material Pouches

Move toward recyclable flexible packaging with mono-material PE or PP structures engineered around your barrier, print and sealing requirements. We help you select a structure that fits both the product and the intended local recycling system.

BARRIER OPTION

Barrier Options

If the product needs more protection, compatible coatings, EVOH or metallized options may be available while keeping the final recyclability claim accurate.

PCR

PCR Flexible Packaging Options

PCR can reduce virgin plastic use in suitable flexible packaging applications. We help determine where recycled content can be introduced while maintaining seal performance, appearance, barrier and regulatory fit.

01

Application Fit

Confirm that the proposed PCR content is suitable for the intended product-contact and regulatory use.

02

Performance

Check seal strength, stiffness, odor, appearance and barrier performance on the proposed structure.

03

Claim Accuracy

Document the recycled-content basis and percentage for the final package before using it in on-pack claims.

COMPOSTABLE

Compostable Flexible Packaging Options

Compostable films can be a good fit for some products and markets, but they are not a one-size-fits-all replacement. We check product protection, sealing conditions, storage and available composting options before recommending a structure.

Use-Case Fit

Match the compostable structure to shelf-life, product-contact, sealing and storage requirements.

Infrastructure

Confirm whether the material is intended for home or industrial composting and whether the target market has an appropriate disposal system.

Documentation

Applicable supplier documentation, testing and certification should support any compostable claim used on the final package.

BARRIER & SEAL PERFORMANCE

Barrier & Seal Performance for Sustainable Packaging

Sustainable packaging still has to perform. We check the proposed structure against your barrier, sealing, filling and distribution requirements so the new pack protects the product and runs reliably in production.

01

Barrier

Match moisture, oxygen, aroma and light protection to the shelf-life needs of your product.

02

Sealing

Confirm the seal temperature, seal window, contamination tolerance and seal strength for your filling process.

03

Machinability

Check the new film or pouch on the intended filling equipment, because material changes can affect machine performance.

04

Distribution

Verify puncture, drop, compression and handling performance for shipping and retail distribution.

Performance still comes first. The new structure must protect the product and run reliably through filling, sealing, shipping and retail handling.

CLAIMS & DOCUMENTATION

Sustainable Packaging Claims & Documentation

We help you match sustainability claims to the final packaging structure and available documentation. Recyclable, recycled-content and compostable claims are different and should be stated separately so on-pack messaging stays specific and supportable.

Ask About Sustainability Documentation
Recyclability Claims

Use the final material structure and target-market recycling guidance when describing a pouch as recyclable.

Recycled-Content Claims

State the verified recycled-content percentage and keep supplier documentation for the material supplied.

Compostable Claims

Use compostable claims only when the complete package and applicable conditions are supported by relevant documentation or certification.

FAQ

Sustainable Flexible Packaging FAQ

Request a Quote
Is recyclable packaging always mono-material?

Not necessarily. Mono-material PE or PP structures are common recyclable options when they meet the product-protection needs and fit the recycling system in the target market.

Is PCR packaging the same as recyclable packaging?

No. PCR describes recycled content in the material; recyclability describes the end-of-life option of the finished package.

Is compostable packaging always better?

No. The correct choice depends on product protection, sealing, disposal infrastructure and how the final environmental claim can be supported.

Can a recyclable pouch still have high barrier?

Some recyclable structures can be engineered for higher barrier, but the exact performance and recyclability claim depend on the full structure and target market guidance.
